Enter the Battle. Survive the Galaxy. Conquer Every Mission.
Raxzen Space Assault, also known as Star Battle Space Shooter, is a fast-paced browser-based space shooter developed as part of the Raxzen game ecosystem.
It takes the classic arcade space-shooter concept and turns it into a modern, immersive, full-screen browser experience where you control a spaceship, survive enemy attacks, defeat powerful bosses, collect power-ups, unlock increasingly difficult levels, and push your way deeper into the galaxy.
The game is designed to be quick to start, easy to control, challenging to master, and highly replayable.
Your ship is ready. The galaxy is under attack. How far can you survive?
Raxzen Space Assault is not built around a single short stage.
The game features a large progressive level system, with levels organized into pages of 15 and progressively increasing difficulty.
Each level can provide its own seeded gameplay conditions, creating variation in enemy behavior, speed, firing patterns, and boss characteristics.
The difficulty system progresses through:
🟢 Easy
🟢 Easy+
🟡 Medium
🟡 Medium+
🔴 Hard
🟣 Expert
⚫ Extreme
The game currently defines these difficulty ranges all the way beyond Level 1000, creating a substantial progression system rather than a single-session arcade challenge.
Players don't have to restart from the beginning every time.
Raxzen Space Assault includes a dedicated Level Selection screen where available levels can be selected directly.
The system displays:
Levels are progressively unlocked as the player completes previous missions.
Your unlocked progress is saved locally so that completed progression can remain available when you return to the game.
Some levels contain special Boss Battles.
Boss levels occur at specific progression points, with every seventh level marked as a boss level in the current game system.
Boss encounters introduce significantly larger enemies with:
Boss levels can feature two bosses simultaneously, turning the battlefield into a much more intense encounter.
Defeating the bosses successfully completes the mission.
The game includes multiple enemy types with different sizes, health values, movement behavior, and firing characteristics.
Enemies can:
This creates a battlefield that is not completely predictable.
Every run can feel slightly different because enemy movement, speed, firing timing, and spawning behavior are procedurally varied.
You don't need to repeatedly press a fire button.
Your spaceship fires automatically, allowing you to focus your attention on:
Movement → Positioning → Dodging → Survival → Targeting
The player's weapon system also becomes stronger through upgrades.
The ship supports multiple firing configurations, progressing from a single shot to wider multi-projectile patterns.
During gameplay, defeated enemies can occasionally drop power-ups.
The game currently includes two types:
💚 Health Power-Up
Restores part of the player's health.
💛 Gun Power-Up
Improves the player's shooting level and increases the number of projectiles fired.
This creates an important gameplay loop:
Fight → Destroy Enemies → Collect Power-Up → Become Stronger → Survive Longer
Your spaceship starts with a dedicated health system.
The current player configuration provides 300 maximum health, with incoming enemy attacks reducing it during gameplay.
A visual health bar continuously displays your remaining health.
When health reaches zero:
MISSION FAILED
The game ends and provides an option to retry the current level.
Every successful enemy defeat contributes to your score.
Different enemy types provide different score values, while bosses provide a significantly larger reward.
The game continuously displays your current score during gameplay.
Boss victories can award 10,000 points per defeated boss, creating a strong incentive to survive and complete special encounters.
The control system is intentionally straightforward.
📱 Mobile
Drag your finger across the screen to move the spaceship.
🖥️ Desktop
Move your mouse to control the spaceship.
The ship follows the player's input while automatically handling its weapon fire.
This keeps the controls simple enough for quick casual play while allowing skilled players to concentrate on positioning and avoiding attacks.
The game includes dedicated controls for managing an active mission.
Players can:
Restarting a level begins a fresh attempt at the selected level without changing the player's unlocked-level progression.
Raxzen Space Assault includes an integrated sound-effect system for gameplay interactions.
Sound can be controlled through the in-game audio button, and the player's mute preference can be stored locally.
This allows players to choose whether they want an active sound experience or silent gameplay.
The game uses a full-screen canvas-based rendering system with a continuously moving starfield.
The background contains numerous stars with different sizes and movement speeds, creating the feeling of traveling through space during the battle.
Combined with glowing projectiles, enemy attacks, boss effects, and spaceship graphics, this creates a distinctly arcade-style sci-fi atmosphere.
One of the more interesting technical aspects of Raxzen Space Assault is its use of seeded randomness.
Each level receives its own deterministic random sequence, while individual matches can still produce different gameplay characteristics.
The system uses this to influence factors such as:
This helps prevent every mission from feeling completely identical.
You begin with Level 1 unlocked.
When a mission is successfully completed, the next level becomes available.
The unlocked level is stored using browser local storage, allowing the game to remember progression on the same browser/device.
Complete Mission → Unlock Next Level → Face Greater Difficulty → Repeat
Difficulty isn't fixed to one setting.
The game can dynamically move from Normal → Medium → Hard during a mission based on score progression, while the level system also assigns broader difficulty categories according to the selected level.
This means surviving longer can itself make the current battle more intense.
Higher-level missions are designed to provide a substantially greater challenge.
Regular missions are completed when the required score threshold is reached.
At higher-stakes boss missions, reaching the relevant battle stage triggers the boss encounter, and the mission is completed after all required bosses have been defeated.
After winning, the game displays:
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED
along with the final score and an option to move to the next level.
Although the game takes place in deep space, the surrounding controls use a modern glassmorphism-inspired interface.
The UI includes:
The result is a combination of arcade gameplay and modern web UI design.
Raxzen Space Assault is designed to run directly in a modern web browser.
You don't need to download a traditional game installer.
The game is designed for:
The game canvas automatically adapts to the current browser window, making the experience suitable for different screen dimensions.
Because Raxzen Space Assault is browser-based, it is designed to be accessible to players across different regions.
Whether you're playing from India, the United States, China, Russia, or anywhere else, the goal is the same:
Start the mission and survive the galaxy.
Raxzen Space Assault is part of the growing collection of browser games developed under Raxzen.
Raxzen Space Assault is developed as part of the wider Raxzen ecosystem with a long-term approach.
The project can continue evolving through:
The goal is not to build a game once and abandon it.
